Creating Free Graphics for Your Business

Creating free graphics for my business in the beginning was something I struggled for the longest time to figure out. I wanted so badly to have beautiful pictures that all the other businesses had. So, I did what I always do when I want to learn something new and I started to research.
This post is for you if you are you a beginner entrepreneur wondering how other entrepreneurs are getting such great pictures and logos for their websites? They must be spending a ton of money on those! Right? Wrong! I am here to be your guide into creating your own BEAUTIFUL graphics, logos and content you can post on your business page, upload to your websites, and use over and over to set up your brand. Of course once you are making millions then I would suggest hiring someone to do them for you 🙂
As young entrepreneurs we don’t have that luxury yet, so I will be your guide and show you how to do it for FREE or next to nothing…seriously! There are SO MANY apps and programs out there that I bet you never knew existed. That mom entrepreneur was me a few years ago and I want to share with you all that I have learned.
Some concerns you may have is that maybe you are no good on the computer, or designing, or anything creative for that matter and I am here to guide you through it. There are ways to get around ANY obstacle and I will show you the way. Let’s get started!
Creating Your Logo
Any good business has a logo right? It is the first thing people see when they visit your website. It shows your personality and tells people what your company is about. Your logo is what people remember you by and recognize you through.
There are several ways you can go about creating a logo and I am going to discuss my favorite way to create ANY graphic. Whether that be a logo, a flyer, a Facebook banner, an Instagram ad etc.. I use Canva.com It is a free online program that anyone can use and if you want to upgrade to the Canva for work it’s only $12.95 a month. They have free stock photos you can use and stock photos you can buy for $1.
If you really hate computers and you don’t want to deal with it then you can outsource your project to someone on Fivver. It is a freelance site where you can get a logo created for you for as little as $5!
Watch this tutorial that I made on how to create your own logo on Canva.
Creating Images for Your Social Media and Websites
Canva and Photoshop are my main go to when it comes to creating images for my blog and social media accounts when I need to add text or need to find the right size image.
I also recently found Ivory Mix that has stock photos for days! There are so many she offers free and her membership to get new ones monthly is ridiculously low-priced for how amazing and high quality her images are. I think she should charge way more! But hey I am not complaining, I am in love with her site.
What other programs can I use that are FREE?
Here is a list of my top favorites
–PicMonkey – You can edit pictures and create graphics for free, they also have a paid version that is very low in price for some extra features.
–PicResize – Allows you to resize your pictures
–Smart Mockups– This site is great if you want to create mockups of an e-book cover, or a framed picture. There are a lot more options to choose from so check it out! It’s free!
–Ivory Mix– Has over 300 Free Stock Photos that are absolutely gorgeous and so many options to choose from depending on your brand colors and style. They also offer
Stock Photo Memberships at a super low rate and you can get access to thousands of images with new ones coming out every month or so.
–Clippingmagic – Free program that allows you to erase the background of your images.
Resources for Paid and Free Stock Photos
These options below are some paid options, but I have found their stock photos are beautiful and totally worth the price. Also if you visit their page you can sign up for their email list and receive some free photos. Bonus!
There you have it! This list is certainly not all that is out there, but these are just a few of my favorite and least expensive options that I have personally tried and these programs get the job done.
